In India/Goa we offer CODE Rhythms intensive Part A
Theory of Rhythms with introduction (how to dance to different rhythms, what is wrong and what is correct, technique & combos), Drum Solo Choreography with different rhythms & styles , Drumming/Percussion and Finger cymbals/Zills, Theory of Choreography & Improvisation, Drum Solo Analysis, Shimmies, Oriental Music Theory with Folklore & Raks Sharki/classical & Balady Rhythms, difference in dance styles (f.e.Balady, Shaabi, Saidi, Tarab & classical ) Warm Up & Cool down, etc.
The Teachers
the international Superstars Leyla Jouvana & Roland are officially recognized teachers, stage choreographer, dancer & percussionist. They teach the main workshop themes, technique, Rhythm and music studies, choreography, drums and cymbals, different dance styles with or without props, folklore etc.
Registration
CODE is open to anyone who wishes to further their education in oriental dance. Already practicing dance teachers as well as students (even beginners) are welcome to enter for the dance education.
Our Aims
The aim of our dance education is to produce competent and excellent teachers in oriental dance, to keep up and improve standards and to give more people a chance to learn this dance. We are particularly pleased to welcome existing teachers and to develop and support them within the C.O.D.E framework
